Thats about how big my eyes are right now. Once again .. can’t sleep and can only think, question and wonder about life overseas. Today was my 21st birthday party, as well as my going away party. Seeing everyone (my friends from XA and my family) altogether was really nice.
I’m about a quarter of the way packed thanks to my restlessness. For some reason I’ve really been putting off the packing. Somehow thats like really facing the music that its happening.
I got another email from my family in Jordan and they seem like such sweet people. I get so giddy seeing an email from them – prob cuz they’re my best glimpse into life there for now.
It was really awesome! Alisha, Jamie and I went to K-Mart to look at digital cameras. As we’re standing there, two Muslim ladies were talking in Arabic behind us. Usually I’m not very shy, but for some reason I had to be pressured into talking to them. After a few introductions, the girl from Saudi Arabia ushered me into a seculded aisle to give me instructions on how to properly wrap a hijab (head covering). For my birthday my sister had gave me a scarf but I just could not make the thing look right. 
I’m SO glad I talked to them. They were the sweetest ladies, and my only regret is that I hadn’t ran into them sooner because the four of us all wanted to get to know each other more. 
Anyways, the day went really well .. despite the downpour that resulted in a last-minute change of location for the party.
Only 3 days left.
