So sometime last week I discovered the uber-popular Lost. How I’ve been living the past year without it, I do not know.. but thankfully, that drought has ended.

My roommate Amanda told me a story I thought was halarious.. but I will preface this with “if you haven’t seen the show, this won’t be as funny”.. ok.. so..

One day her prayer went something like this:

“Dear God.. I want to pray for my sister …. and I pray for my old friends … and dear Jesus, I pray that they would find Claire really soon.”

Uhm.. Claire is a character on Lost, and it actually took her a few seconds to realize she probably could stop praying for her safe return.

After renting the first episode, I rushed out to purchase Season 1 so I could get all caught up for the second season.. so just about every evening has been a Lost party at my house.. and tonight is the re-run of Season 2’s premiere, and the new episode.

Ok, so I never realized just how many people out there are crazy about this show until now. Thinking I discovered this great show, I asked my good friend Josh, “have you ever heard of Lost?” .. and with a bitter tone, he said,

“Yes, and I’ve lost all my friends to it.”

So those of you who haven’t jumped on the bandwagon.. really.. it’s just time. And yes,  I really just blogged totally and completely about a TV show.. thank God school has started and I don’t have time to get addicted to anything else..

Although Alias 4 is coming out soon on DVD..

I can’t help but smile so much bigger when I hear your voice, or feel your arm around me.

I won’t steal his glory after he worked so hard on putting together his post about our relationship’s status – so … click on Nick’s blog if you want to get the insiders scoop on my trip to Milwaukee – let’s just say, he posted all the things I didn’t. =)

So we stayed the night at the base of the glacier in Glacier Nat’l Park, just inside British Columbia. After seeing only plains for days & days we were grateful to be in the mountains finally. The scenery was breathtaking everywhere we went.

In one day we drove across beautiful BC and into Vancouver, where we wandered throughout a huge portion of the city. Seeing the Pacific Ocean was a reminder of just how far we had driven.

Since we had woken up at 6:30am we finished our tour of the city earlier than anticipated and decided to press on to Seattle – where we then decided to drive on to Portland and stay the night at my brother Tom’s house.

In the morning we met Jayme for breakfast at a cute cafe next door to her house, and then jetted the short distance down to Corvallis.

So our road trip has officially ended, and Liz is going to spend a few days in town visiting with Russ & Beth, and just generally relaxing.

I’m busy trying to get the last of my stuff moved into my new apartment, and all settled in before Fall term starts (a week from Monday).  I’m tired after all that traveling and am happy to stay inside for the next couple of days. =)
