The US State Department wants to clear the record. America, and the world, has not given Israel a green light to continue bombing Lebanon:
“The US is sparing no efforts to bring a durable and lasting end to this conflict.”

Remember the government is fishing for terrorists online. Careful what sites you pick. OK, it’s official – I’m paranoid. Time to call Art Bell.

I am trying to read Lebanese news sources as well as Israeli. Unfortunately I need them in English. Are there 2 or 3 main ones that would be helpful for me to check?

Esther, I have said this elsewhere as well: it’s enough to make you wonder whether the Bush Admin simply has never read 1984, or whether they’re actively mining it for good ideas.
For a tetch of much-needed comic relief, have a gander at Stephen Colbert’s roast of the President at the Press Corps dinner.
