Creepy

Okay so I’m not sure how big this news is in the States, but here it’s HUGE. The Ispwich serial killings have made headlines for weeks and today they arrested a guy. I noticed in the article it said he was on MySpace so I looked him up and found his account.

It’s like some morbid fascination to want to see his site, I don’t know why. Somehow seeing someone’s website and photos makes the person more real, more normal… but then on the other hand that just creeps me out.

sweet friend, you need a new post so well wishers can say delightful things to you without feeling conflicted about their light hearted writings.

for example, “enjoy kissing your boyfriend”, seems terribly inapropriate a comment to place in a post titled “creepy”.

    love you…

yeah, we were following it here in the states. There was a rumor that the Ispwich killings were related to a group of prostitutes that were recently killed in New Jersey.

and if it isnt too inappropriate….

    Merry Christmas.

We have been following this creep in the States. They were liking him to Jack The Ripper. Are they sure they caught the right guy? I missed the web site. It’s down now.

I debated whether to try the killer’s site or not and I was actually relieved when I went there and saw it had been taken down.

Nick, thanks for posting the victim’s site….although it was a weird feeling reading that last post.

We have been hearing about it here in the states, but I don’t know how much in comparison to over there!

Cute profile pic, by the way!

Interesting… I wonder if they did that to curb the media connecting MySpace with the crimes (even though he didn’t use their site to find the girls).

Weird. He seems so average on his myspace. Well, he probably is average.

Perhaps curiosity to visit his site, I think it would be more morbid to visit the victim’s sites. But if you’ve never visited this page, you might be surprised at how you respond. According to Wikipedia, “police used [his] last Xanga entry to identify his and his sister’s killer.”

Um, it’s not huge news by any means, but I heard about it on NPR’s BBC broadcast which would be no surprise. They said they were bringing Scotland Yard’s top detectives in from researching Alexander Litvinenko’s death.
