I have to admit the past 3 weeks have been frustrating… moving weight at a snail’s pace I knew I had hit another plateau. Thankfully this morning I went in and had lost 2.5lbs! It was a fabulous feeling because I got another silver 7 (it’s a little sticker for every 7lbs gone) and got that boost I emotionally needed to keep pressing on.
Being silly I decided to set my camera on its timer and take a few photos after my meeting. So I’m now down 47.5lbs and have 9.5lbs to goal where I become a lifetime member of Weight Watchers.
My BMI is down to 23.7 (this time last year it was at 33!) and I’ve just joined the gym attached to my dorm to make it easier to add another day or two of exercise.
It feels like it’s the home stretch now.
Here are photos from today:

I agree with lew829, when I lost weight, I got all kinds of compliments and unexpectently it started to make me sad cause I felt like everyone liked me more and approved of me so much more just because of my weight.

Fantastic! Bravo, Esther!

Yay Esther! :) I’m happy for you of course…but also because Jim Cramer likes Weight Watcher’s stock, more than that that Nutrasystem. He said “It has growth you can count on.” Ah that Cramer…so, you should totally let me borrow those jeans. I’ll help you with the posing too. I was on the catwalk back in the day. By catwalk, I mean the sidelines of the Calvary Baptist High School basketball court. Ask Nick. I wrote a lot here.

lol you’re still dwarfed by the refrigerator. Looking at your photoblog, it cracks me up – you have a “self-portrait smile” that is….so….canned. Mmm, I am going to make a slideshow of your years of self portraits. :-D Anyways, proud of you.

You look great, Esther! I’m really proud of you. I have several female friends who struggle with their weight, and I have seen how much of a toll it is to try to shed some pounds. So, I am excited for you and extremely proud!

Its the weird curse of loosing weight … you look fabulous, people tell you that you look fabulous and you’re happy yet simultaneously angsty because you don’t want to be valued for looks. But that said … YOU LOOK FABULOUS! Congrats! I’m sure you feel fabulous as well!
