This is past the point of ridiculous. In the last 14 days the fire alarm has sounded approximately 7 times. Last night I was forced to wake up at 1am to go stand in the cold while the porter ran from building to building typing in his magical code that makes the shreeking sirens disappear. Unbelievably I woke up to it happening again 7hrs later and decided I just couldn’t be bothered to get out of my bed one more time for a false alarm, so I shoved my fingers in my ears and rolled over.
We’ve all become so accustomed to the drill that no one buys it anymore – we know there is no fire, someone is just smoking in their room again.
…however, in a twisted irony of fate, now that we’ve all become apathetic and distrustful of the sounding alarm, a real fire will undoubtedly occur and we’ll all be burned alive.
1) I think you can see where this is going… lol.. I couldn’t resist..

I can hardly believe it’s the middle of March already… geez…. I swear time continually speeds up.
This means I have roughly 10 weeks left in England, which makes me both happy and nervous… then transition time begins again… let’s see – this will be my 7th dramatic move/transition in 6 years – I guess I should be used to it by now; yet every time it’s still a bit scary.
(Oregon > Indiana > Oregon > Jordan > Oregon > Wisconsin > England > ???)
It’s my last week of classes for the year (at least until I go for my PhD someday) and then it’s just all about researching and writing my dissertation. It’s relieving to finally see the light at the end.
Today is laundry and cleaning day for me… since the weather has improved I’m feeling more motivated to clean out my dorm and get things in order. Somehow physically getting rid of the dust bunnies and the unnecessary clutter lifts my spirits and reminds me that another winter has safely passed.
Grrr.. iMovie crashed after I fixed the audio and it didn’t save! so sorry you get the crappy version of this but I don’t have time to do it all over & I’m just lucky I had saved a previous version
