Sorry to all those who I meant to hang out with while in Oregon but didn’t… I needed another week to just stop by everyone’s house who I wanted to see… sadly time ran out though. I’m sure I’ll be back in a few months though.
It was great being able to visit with my family… Nick’s time with them was fantastic. I had plenty of questions about the timing of our future engagement and wedding plans from my siblings after he left… everyone loves him and that just makes me all warm & fuzzy inside.
I’m moving and cleaning a lot right now… I’m keeping this short because I’m tired & still have a full day of stuff to do, which includes updating my resume and filling out a complicated application that is due tomorrow during my first interview of my job hunting season. It’s actually for a high school teaching position – not something I had initially considered and who knows… I’ll explain more about it if tomorrow goes well… if not, I need more practice interviewing anyways.
Yesterday I bought a gorgeous (& comfy) bed for a steal deal… and now I’m just looking around thinking about how desperately I need to get a dresser since I have loads of crap just hanging out in piles on the floor.
I just finished scrubbing the bathroom – especially the bathtub… uhm, yeah…. well…. the guys I moved in with have low standards of cleanliness.
Today I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of tasks I need to accomplish in the near future, all of which have miles of subtasks:
-get my room together
-complete my dissertation
-find a decent job
-buy a car
*sigh*
I’m excited… nervous… and ready to go take a shower in my clean(er) bathroom.

(RYC on Illegal Immigrants/Amnesty) Thank you! I am surprised how many people are completely opposed to helping correct the problem without deporting and embarrassing the Illegal immigrant. I read today (on a response to a Blog), that many of the illegals entered our country “legally”. Huh? Anyhow, thanks for giving an answer that feels Christian (and more comfortable) toward solving the problem.’
Regarding your stay in Oregon: glad you got to come out here, and you are right, time does not allow one to visit with everyone. Maybe some day. I and the wife will fly to Denver in July to visit our son. I was realizing this weekend, that four days will not be enough time to visit all of the relatives and friends living there. Oh vell. I will have to make the best of what time we have. AL

Hey Esther, We met at WMS about a year and a half ago. No problem if you don’t remember me, there were only like 6,000 people there. I was actually wanting to ask you a few questions if you don’t mind, but possibly through email? Thanks!
