It happened tonight!!

Today was my 24th birthday… and while I enjoy all things birthday related, what happened at the end of the night managed to pale in comparison to any birthday, gift, or otherwise. Through a very crafty, tricky serious of events – Nick managed to get me from his house (where we had my birthday party with his family), to a pub downtown with a couple of friends & his brother Chris, and then… while I thought we were walking back to our cars to go off & go home – we were actually headed straight to the little park where he had told me he loved me for the first time. Since it was precisely in the direction of the car I didn’t think anything of it until he got down on one knee…. honestly, even at that moment I didn’t believe it because he’s joked around before…. but then I saw the cameraman (Nick’s friend Rob seemingly popped out of nowhere to videotape the moment)… and then I knew it was the real deal! =) And of course I said YES.

It was everything I had hoped it’d be… I’m an incredibly lucky girl! Oh & the ring is gorgeous!

    Congratulations!!!  It’s been amazing to see how this relationship started from absolute strangers and how you guys have such a strong chemistry.  I’ll be praying that the next few months of preparation and planning help you guys prepare well for the years to come.  If you haven’t read any Les & Leslie Parrott books yet they’d be great for sparking conversations and growing even more as a couple.
