For anyone who wants to see the actual proposal itself:

I actually want to blog more frequently like I did back in the day, but after a day full of other activities I find myself consistently neglecting the blogosphere. It’s sad really because this is kind of like my diary since I don’t actually write in one regularly. I love being able to look back months, and now even years ago and recall life experiences and circumstances that I have entirely forgotten about already. This new season in my life – wedding planning – is a bit surreal and I want to share it so I don’t forget it. The past two Saturdays I’ve gone dress shopping – putting on wedding gowns is a pretty sure way of making the engagement feel real. I think it has also taught me that I don’t want to surrender my personality for an event – I’m not the princess type and don’t want to pretend I am while dancing around in a tiara. I hope to find ways to incorporate both our love and goofiness. It’s only just begun but I don’t feel overwhelmed at all (yet), and I’m trying to keep it that way. Most of the fuss seems to be in the small details few people actually catch, so I’m aiming for elegant simplicity. I want our wedding to be timeless and classy… but not pretentious.

cpar32: Congratulations Esther! Such an exciting time for you. I happened across your site skimming blogsites. I’m curious, why are you interested in the “historical Jesus,” and the not the Jesus of the Bible. Isn’t most of what we know of Jesus found in the Bible anyway? 2 years ago
portorikan: Congratulations!

sherylshearer: esther, check out SoliDeoGratia’s xanga. She recently got married over the summer and posted about their wedding. I really liked how they did their ceremony. I think you might also. At least it’d give you some alternative ideas. Don’t know the exact posts; you’ll have to ask her or just search. She just finished her Masters at the Univ. at Glasgow and is working on her PhD.2 years ago
